General Description:

Accurate OASIS data collection is a critical element of success in the HHVBP model. None of the items used in the calculations are “new” but many are ones with long standing issues regarding clinicians collecting it right the first time.

The intent of the HHVBP Assessment Package – OASIS is to use a comprehensive approach that gives the agency insights into who needs training, what specific OASIS areas should be involved, and who DOES NOT need to spend time in training.

The focus of the “test” is to facilitate discussions about OASIS guidance that will strengthen the accuracy of data collection and validate that key concepts are understood and applied correctly. The educational sessions reinforce key concepts beyond the OASIS responses by connecting them to care planning decisions.
